Maspalomas, Spain is a tourist town in the south of the island of Gran Canaria, it remains as the largest tourist destination in the Canary Islands and a worldwide-known destination for LGBT tourism.



Michel van Hese, gay rights activist Gayprideaf founded five years ago in Maspalomas. Since then this LGBT Pride for the Deaf has not stopped growing, Gran Canaria has become an international meeting place for the Deaf LGBT community. Gayles.tv interviewed Michel van Hese and Cristina Arrayas, organizers of the event.

Bay Kennish grew up in a wealthy family with two parents and a brother, while Daphne Vasquez, who lost her hearing at an early age due to a case of meningitis, grew up with a single mother in a poor neighborhood.
